Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students' communication growth in a school-based setting near Hayward, CA. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you'll play a valuable role helping speech-language pathologists deliver high-quality therapy, promoting students' success both inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Must hold a valid SLPA license/certification. Experience or strong interest in working in school or pediatric environments. Knowledge of speech-language therapy procedures and willingness to collaborate with supervising SLPs. Organizational skills to maintain documentation and track progress accurately. Ability to connect well with students of diverse backgrounds and needs. Background in healthcare settings is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist supervising SLPs in providing speech, language, and communication therapy services to students individually or in small groups. Help implement treatment plans and therapy activities as directed. Prepare, organize, and maintain materials for therapy sessions. Support progress monitoring by gathering data and maintaining detailed records. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to encourage communication goals across environments.
