Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. This contract assignment runs from August 2026 through November or December 2026 and offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 30 hours per week. Set in a supportive educational environment, you'll work closely with a caseload of around 45 students. Additional SLPA team members are available on campus to collaborate and ensure every student receives the attention they deserve. In this role, you'll cover for a Speech-Language Pathologist's leave, assisting in providing therapy services, tracking progress, and adapting approaches to best meet student needs. Your expertise will play a vital part in fostering communication and language development, making a tangible difference in each student's educational journey.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 45 students Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other SLPAs and educational staff Ability to support development and implementation of IEP goals Solid communication and organizational skills

Deliver speech and language therapy services under SLP supervision Track student progress, maintain records, and provide feedback to educators and families Implement intervention plans and strategies for diverse student needs Support IEP processes and participate in meetings as necessary Collaborate with on-campus SLPAs for seamless service provision Help create a supportive, communicative environment for every student during this pivotal time.
