This contract position is located in the vibrant area near Modesto, CA, and is tailored for professionals dedicated to fostering communication skills within educational settings. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid SLPA license/certification recognized in California. Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy. Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities. Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a collaborative attitude. Ability to adapt therapy techniques to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans designed to address students' speech and language goals. Work one-on-one or in small group settings to help students improve articulation, comprehension, and communication abilities. Document student progress and observations in accordance with school policies. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a supportive learning environment. Participate in team meetings and IEP discussions to contribute insights on student growth and needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in speech therapy and school-based services.
