Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting elementary students in a setting near Modesto, CA. You'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners, particularly those within a high special education population, while collaborating with a passionate multidisciplinary team. With a steady weekly schedule of 35 hours, this position offers a rewarding way to expand your clinical skills in a supportive school environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California Previous experience in school settings preferred Exposure to working with special education populations highly valued Familiarity with elementary school caseloads and individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language support under the supervision of a licensed SLP Assist with the implementation of IEPs and targeted therapy plans for students Document progress, maintain accurate records, and report outcomes to supervising clinicians Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student development Adapt therapeutic approaches to address the unique needs of each student Contribute to team meetings and ongoing assessments Perks of the
