Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a dynamic elementary school setting near Modesto. This contract role offers 35 hours per week within a welcoming educational environment, known for its positivity and collaborative spirit. You'll work closely with students in a higher SPED (special education) population, making a meaningful difference as you partner with both licensed speech-language pathologists and dedicated educators.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid SLPA licensure for schools or healthcare settings Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in special education or higher needs environments Strong communication abilities and collaboration skills Familiarity with school-based documentation requirements and IEP processes Reliability, adaptability, and a proactive attitude
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy assistance to elementary students under the supervision of a licensed SLP Implement individualized and group interventions tailored to student needs Support data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation for student cases Collaborate with educational staff, families, and SLPs to optimize student support plans Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights relevant to students' speech-language goals This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice in a supportive, student-centered school.
