Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-6 students as a Spanish-speaking SLPA in a dynamic school environment near Oxnard, CA. This vital role supports a diverse student population with mild to moderate speech and language needs, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.
Key Qualifications:
Current SLPA license/certification required Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is essential At least 1 full school year of previous SLPA experience in an educational setting Comfortable managing an average caseload of around 55 students Experience supporting K-6 students preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist Assist with screening, assessments, and progress monitoring of students Adapt and implement therapy activities according to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) Collaborate with classroom teachers, SLP, and other members of the educational team to support student needs Maintain timely and accurate records of sessions, data collection, and reporting Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate This full-time position offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week during the school year, with the opportunity to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Hourly compensation ranges from $50 to $55, reflecting your specialized skills and experience.
