Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a dynamic educational setting supporting students from Kindergarten through 6th grade as a Bilingual (Spanish) Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract opportunity offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact on developing communication skills in a diverse community while partnering closely with experienced SLP professionals. You'll be involved with a mild to moderate needs caseload, averaging around 55 students, ensuring each receives quality, individualized care.
Desired Qualifications:
Current SLPA license in California Bilingual proficiency—Spanish required At least one full academic year of SLPA experience in a school setting Experience working with K-6 students, supporting mild to moderate communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy under SLP supervision Implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals Deliver bilingual support and translate (Spanish/English) as needed for students and families Document progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success Foster inclusive classroom communication strategies
