Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract This contract opportunity is ideal for a Bilingual SLPA looking to make a meaningful difference in elementary and middle school settings. With a caseload of 55 students, the role focuses on providing high-quality language and speech therapy services in a supportive school environment. The position runs full-time, offering 37.5 hours each week, and starts in August 2026, continuing through June 2027. The district is currently interviewing candidates for an immediate start.
Key Qualifications:
Holds applicable certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Demonstrated fluency in English and Spanish Experience in educational or healthcare settings with children preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with certified SLPs Comfortable managing a caseload of up to 55 students Strong communication and organizational skills Not open to Clinical Fellows (CF); qualified SLPAs onlyPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services to students as directed by an SLP Assist with evaluations and document student progress accurately Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Work with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' speech and language goals Adapt therapy materials and strategies for diverse student populations Participate in team meetings and maintain thorough records The contract schedule allows you to dedicate yourself to students while providing the consistency of full-time hours throughout the academic year.
