Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity helping support young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) through the coming school year. Two full-time SLPA roles are available, each offering the chance to engage with a caseload of around 55 students in either elementary or middle school environments. Your dedication will play a pivotal role in helping children achieve their communication goals and thrive in academic settings.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active SLPA license in California is required Previous experience in both healthcare-based and school-based SLPA settings is valuable Comfortable with school-age caseloads, including elementary and middle school Strong collaboration skills for working with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families Adaptable and compassionate approach to supporting diverse student needs Availability for a full-time, 30-hour-per-week position from August 26 through June 27 Please note: SLP CFs are not eligible for these positionsResponsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of an SLP Support progress monitoring, documentation, and progress reports for a caseload of approximately 55 students Assist in creating engaging, individualized interventions and communication activities Collaborate with educational staff to foster student growth Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goalsWhat's Offered:
