Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students in a school setting in San Mateo, CA. This contract position spans the 20262027 school year, offering a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week across five days. The role involves working closely with students who have extensive support needs, utilizing AAC devices, and participating in data collection and progress monitoring.
Qualifications:
Current SLPA certification in California with a minimum of one year of experience Experience working within a school district environment Proven ability to support students with significant support requirements Familiarity with data collection processes and progress monitoring techniques Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred but not mandatoryResponsibilities:
Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational teams to implement individualized treatment plans Support communication development for elementary-age students, including those utilizing AAC devices Conduct regular data collection and assist with progress monitoring to adjust interventions as needed Engage effectively with students who require extensive support to maximize educational outcomes Maintain compliance with school policies and documentation standardsBenefits:
