Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Valencia, CA. This contract role begins ASAP and continues through the remainder of the current school year, providing an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with a diverse student caseload.
Responsibilities:
Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for K-12 students Conduct speech and language screenings and carry out therapy sessions under supervision Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes according to school policies Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals Prepare materials and resources needed for therapy sessionsQualifications and Desired Experience:
Completion of an accredited SLPA program or equivalent training Prior experience working with children in a school environment preferred Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment techniques, and intervention strategies Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage a varied K-12 caseload effectively Relevant certification or licensure as required by the state or school districtLocation:
