Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an engaging, onsite opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a dynamic school environment near the Santa Maria area. This contract position is ideal for professionals who have experience working in educational settings and are passionate about helping students achieve their communication goals. Your work schedule runs Monday through Thursday, with four-hour days, providing you with both meaningful daily engagement and exceptional work-life balance. Qualifications & Experience:
Valid SLPA license or certification Proven experience working as an SLPA in a school setting Familiarity with supporting IEP implementation and collaborating with SLPs Comfortable providing direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups Strong communication and record-keeping skills Ability to work onsite and adapt to the needs of a diverse student population
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy and collecting data Work with students across various grade levels Support SLPs in preparing materials and carrying out intervention plans Document student progress and communicate updates as needed Collaborate with educational staff to contribute to a holistic learning environment Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and practices With a structured Monday-Thursday schedule, you'll enjoy shorter workdays while still making a significant impact.
