Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an engaging role supporting students in a vibrant elementary school setting, right near Modesto. This contract position offers 35 hours per week, where you'll work closely with a higher population of special education students, making a meaningful impact through your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. Desired Qualifications:
Current licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Prior experience in a school-based setting, particularly elementary programs Background working with special education (SPED) populations Comfortable collaborating with a team of educators, therapists, and families Effective communication and documentation skills Ability to implement and track individualized therapy plans
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP Support IEP goals for students with a range of speech and language needs Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate therapy in daily routines Maintain accurate records and session notes in line with school and district protocols Adapt to the dynamic needs of an elementary SPED caseload Attend team meetings and contribute insights for student progress You'll play a key role in shaping positive outcomes for students, while working in a supporting and collaborative school community.
