Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available at a school in Vallejo, CA, ideal for candidates seeking a school-based contract role with supervision support provided. This position is designed for individuals who are ready to contribute to student progress under professional guidance, with the added benefit of covered supervision costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of approximately 55 students, providing direct support to speech-language services. Complete Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) within designated timelines. Maintain consistent onsite presence, working 3-5 days per week. Adhere to a schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational staff to support student needs. Participate in summer programs as needed, with limited Extended School Year (ESY) involvement due to program size.
Qualifications:
Valid certification or eligibility to work as an SLPA in a school setting. Willingness to work under supervision, with supervision expenses covered. Experience in school-based speech-language support preferred. Strong organizational skills, particularly in managing IEP documentation and caseload. Commitment to supporting student communication goals throughout the academic year and possible summer sessions. This position begins immediately (ASAP) and continues through the end of the school year, concluding June 5, with potential for limited ESY work. The role offers a structured weekly schedule within a dynamic educational environment in Vallejo.
