Salary Range •$56,809 to $89,509 (Based on education and years of relevant working experience) •The annual salary listed above is based on a full-time, 8-hour workday (FTE 1) and a full working calendar. For positions with less than a full FTE or reduced hours, such as part-time or late-start positions, the salary will be prorated accordingly. Position Overview The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will diagnose and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients aged 0-21. They will assess patient abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy using evidence-based practices. The SLP will also educate and support patients and families, maintain comprehensive records, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and supervise the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA). Necessary Credentials Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or equivalent (required for Colorado Department of Education licensure). Must be eligible for licensure through the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist. ASHA Certification preferred. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Desired Qualifications and Core Competencies Conduct evaluations and diagnose speech/language disorders. Develop and provide therapy for speech, language, and swallowing issues. Use evidence-based practices for treatment. Educate and support patients and families. Maintain accurate patient records. Work with other professionals and refer when necessary. Stay current with new research and techniques. Adapt treatment for diverse populations. Oversee SLPAs. Physical Requirements May include, light travel, standing and walking for extended periods; bend, stoop, and lift materials; reach for supplies on high shelves; use manual dexterity for tasks like writing and using technology; communicate clearly and effectively with students; climb stairs in multi-level buildings.
