Bright Skies Therapy Center is a growing multi-disciplinary pediatric therapy clinic looking to add a Part-Time SLPA to our team. We have a part-time position available at our Greeley location two afternoons a week with the option to increase hours as the caseload grows.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Passion for working with children and families Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit Desire to grow within a therapist-centered practice Job Duties Provide speech and language therapy to clients under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Implement therapy activities targeting speech sounds, expressive/receptive language, fluency, voice, literacy, AAC, etc. Use play-based, functional activities to engage children and support therapy goals. Modify activities as directed to meet each child's needs and attention level. Therapy Preparation & Organization Set up and clean therapy spaces before and after sessions. Prepare therapy materials, visuals, and equipment as needed. Maintain and organize therapy resources, toys, and supplies. Assist with creating and assembling home programs and carryover activities for families. Data Collection & Documentation Accurately collect and record data on client performance during each session. Maintain therapy notes and documentation per practice guidelines. Provide progress updates to the supervising SLP as requested. Collaboration & Communication Communicate regularly with supervising SLPs regarding client progress, challenges, and session notes. Support positive relationships with families by greeting clients warmly and answering basic therapy-related questions (within the SLPA scope of practice). Collaborate with other therapists and staff to ensure a coordinated approach to client care. Professional Responsibilities Adhere to all ASHA, state licensure, and practice policies for SLPA scope of practice. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities. Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines at all times. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic culture Physical Job Requirements The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Mobility & Activity Tolerance Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods during play-based therapy. Move quickly between therapy rooms or activity areas as needed. Transition frequently between floor-based activities and table work. Lifting & Carrying Lift and carry up to 50 pounds (therapy materials, toys, AAC devices, or assisting children). Support or guide children during activities that require physical assistance. Reaching & Handling Reach in all directions, including overhead, to access therapy materials and equipment. Manipulate, assemble, and clean therapy tools, toys, and AAC devices. Vision & Hearing Sufficient visual acuity to observe children's facial expressions, articulation, and safety cues. Adequate hearing to respond to verbal communication, environmental sounds, and speech clarity needs. Speech & Communication Ability to speak clearly and model speech sounds, words, and sentences. Communicate effectively with children, families, supervising SLPs, and team members. Environmental Interaction Work in various environments including therapy rooms, sensory gyms, playgrounds, and occasionally community settings. Tolerate moderate noise levels, child vocalizations, and active movement in therapy spaces. Stamina & Endurance Maintain energy and focus for multiple therapy sessions daily. Manage physically active sessions while ensuring safety for clients and self. Cognitive & Emotional Requirements Sustain attention and concentration while tracking client responses and collecting accurate data. Adapt activities and strategies in response to client behavior, attention, or motivation levels. Exhibit patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor with children and families. Demonstrate problem-solving skills and follow supervisor directions accurately. Maintain a positive, professional attitude and work effectively in a collaborative environment. Experience Must be licensed in the state of Colorado Pediatric experience required
Pay:
$27.00 - $35.00 per hour
