Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a role where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will have a meaningful impact on students' growth and communication abilities. This contract opportunity, located near Norwalk and Bridgeport, CT, spans the 2026-2027 school year and is perfect for someone seeking a part-time commitment. You will provide support services in a dynamic educational environment for approximately 13 hours per week, on two days.
Key Requirements:
Active SLPA license. Previous experience in a school setting is essential. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with students, educators, and families. Ability to implement therapy plans developed by supervising SLP and track student progress. Flexibility to support diverse student needs. Professional, reliable, and compassionate demeanor.
Main Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language interventions to students as directed by supervising SLPs. Support the development and generalization of communication skills in classroom and small group settings. Document services and progress according to school protocols. Collaborate with educational staff to optimize support for each student. Assist with preparation of materials and scheduling sessions.
