Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available for the 26/27 school year in Newark, DE, serving K-8th grade students. This role offers approximately 35 hours per week from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, supporting speech and language programs within a dynamic school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy to K-8 students. Work collaboratively with educators and families to support student communication goals. Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings. Support diverse student populations, contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs).
Qualifications:
Active or pending Delaware SLPA licensure or eligibility for licensure upon completion of 100 supervised clinical hours. Candidates who need to complete their 100 supervised clinical hours are encouraged to apply. Ability to work on-site full time and successfully pass a background check and drug screening. Spanish language skills are a plus but not required. Previous experience in school or healthcare settings preferred.
