Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in Wilmington, DE, supporting early childhood and elementary school settings. This contract position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role focuses on delivering speech and language support services to students in preschool and elementary schools, fostering improved communication skills and enhancing educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language pathology interventions under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the communication needs of preschool and elementary-aged children. Collaborate with educators, therapists, and parents to support student progress. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports per school and regulatory guidelines. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of effective speech and language programs.
Qualifications:
Valid Delaware SLPA License is required. Experience working in school and/or healthcare settings as an SLPA is preferred. Strong knowledge of speech-language development and therapeutic strategies. Ability to work effectively with young children and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
