In this vital role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services to children and students across various settings. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help foster communication development, improve speech and language skills, and positively impact the lives of pediatric clients. Duties Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans aligned with clients' IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) Conduct speech and language screenings under supervision to identify communication needs in children and students Support therapy sessions by preparing materials, setting up activities, and engaging with children during exercises Monitor progress and document client responses, behaviors, and improvements accurately for review by the supervising clinician Help facilitate communication strategies for children with diverse needs, including pediatrics and those in acute care or school environments Maintain a safe, supportive environment that encourages participation and confidence during therapy sessions Collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers to promote consistency in speech therapy goals across settings Experience Knowledge of pediatrics, early intervention practices, and school-based speech therapy is preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology related to speech and swallowing functions is advantageous Experience working with students who have communication challenges or developmental delays enhances your effectiveness in this role Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in settings such as schools or healthcare facilities Demonstrated compassion, patience, and enthusiasm when working with children with diverse needs Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to empowering children through effective communication!
