Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time opportunity is for two Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to provide essential speech therapy support within a school setting in Jacksonville, FL. Working on-site, successful candidates will help deliver speech services for students, supporting either a virtual Speech Language Pathologist or managing a traditional caseload directly.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting a virtual SLP by facilitating speech therapy sessions on-site Providing direct therapy to students with speech and language needs Collaborating closely with school staff and the assigned SLP to ensure effective service delivery Managing a caseload primarily focused on school-aged children in a single school environment Qualifications and requirements: Active Florida Department of Health SLPA licensure Completion or valid clearance of fingerprinting through the appropriate state clearinghouse Ability to work on-site full time (35 hours/week, approximately 7 hours per day) Strong communication skills and experience working in school-based speech therapy settings preferred This role supports student communication development within the Duval County public school system and requires availability from ASAP through late May. Candidates will be working primarily at one school site in Jacksonville, providing critical speech support to children in an educational setting.
