Part-time, Full-time About Us:
North Florida Speech and Reading Specialists, DBA Eat Play Learn Pediatric Therapy LLC , is a growing multi-disciplinary pediatric therapy clinic offering speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, and specialty services in literacy and dyslexia intervention. We pride ourselves on providing evidence-based, family-centered care to help children reach their full potential. We are excited to expand our team in Lake City, FL and are seeking a passionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join us.
Position Summary:
The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver high-quality therapy services to children with speech, language, and literacy needs. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children, values collaboration, and is eager to grow within a supportive clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Implement treatment plans developed by supervising SLPs Provide direct therapy to pediatric clients in clinic and/or school-based settings Collect and record data to monitor client progress Prepare therapy materials and activities Communicate with families and caregivers regarding carryover strategies Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with clinic policies and insurance requirements Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of SLPs, OTs, and support staff
Qualifications:
Current Florida SLPA license or eligibility required Previous pediatric experience preferred (internship experience accepted) Strong organizational and communication skills Compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed
