Therapists work with patients that have developmental delays, teaching them functional skills to improve independence. Therapists monitor, document, and review progress throughout the treatment period. Therapists collaborate with occupational therapy assistants providing feedback and supervision throughout the treatment period. Assistant Job Summary Assistants collaborate with therapists to develop and carry out a treatment plan for each patient. Assistants work with patients that have developmental delays, teaching them functional skills to improve independence. Assistants monitor and document progress throughout the treatment period.
