Job Description

About us Sandhill Speech and Language Services, LLC is a small business in Sarasota County, Florida. We are professional, engaging, and collaborative. Our goal is to provide personalized and effective speech therapy to children with communication difficulties. Position is currently part-time, but has the potential to grow to full-time quickly, if desired. The position requires the the clinician be able to provide services in both the Bradenton/Sarasota area and North Port/Port Charlotte area - not within the same day. If full-time, a typical schedule would consist of 2-3 days in Bradenton/Sarasota and 2-3 days in North Port/Port Charlotte Our work environment includes: Flexible working hours Safe work environment On-the-job training Casual work attire We're looking for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to provide in-office/clinic and mobile services to our pediatric patients with communication disorders. You will assist with evaluations and treatment for children with speech and language disorders. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, we expect you to be proficient at following an established treatment program, assist with the production of materials as needed, and professionally document clients' progress.
Responsibilities:
Provide care and treatment to patients Teach and train patients on different speech sounds and strategies to improve communication skills. Record patient progress to document the outcomes of therapy. Perform clerical tasks like scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records and preparing treatment materials Administer speech therapy in a school-based or clinic setting. Maintain contact with other professionals by participating in professional organizations, conferences or continuing education classes. Offer emotional support and resources to patients' families.
Pay:
From $26.00 per hour
