In this role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services to a diverse population, including children and adolescents. Your enthusiasm for working with children and your understanding of pediatric development will help foster meaningful progress in communication skills. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various clinical settings, including schools, early intervention programs, and acute care environments. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of individuals striving to improve their speech, language, and swallowing abilities. Duties Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans aligned with the patient's IEP (Individualized Education Program) or clinical goals Conduct therapy sessions under supervision, engaging children and students in fun, motivating activities that promote speech and language development Monitor and document patient progress, noting improvements and areas needing additional focus Prepare therapy materials and assist with the setup of equipment used during sessions Support early intervention initiatives by working closely with families and caregivers to reinforce therapy strategies at home Maintain accurate records of therapy activities, patient responses, and session outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as schools or hospitals to ensure cohesive care delivery Qualifications Prior experience working with children, students, or in pediatric settings is highly preferred Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders Familiarity with acute care environments and school-based programs enhances effectiveness in this role Strong understanding of speech therapy techniques tailored for pediatrics and early intervention Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and developmental levels Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clinicians, educators, families, and patients Relevant certifications or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A) or equivalent are required or highly desirable Join us in making a difference by helping individuals unlock their full communication potential!
