Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide support services in a school setting located in Suwanee, GA. This contract position offers the chance to contribute to the communication and developmental success of students, working alongside licensed speech-language pathologists in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in evaluating, treating, and documenting students with speech, language, and communication disorders under the supervision of a certified speech-language pathologist. Implement individualized treatment plans, using evidence-based techniques to support student progress. Maintain accurate records and progress reports to contribute to student assessments. Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent communication and support. Participate in team meetings and provide input to help tailor services to meet student needs.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or equivalent credential. Experience working with children in educational environments is preferred. Strong understanding of communication disorders and therapeutic strategies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
