Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a vibrant educational setting. This role is based onsite and offers a balance of professional growth and meaningful contributions, working closely with speech-language pathologists to help students achieve their communication goals. The position is part-time, with a weekly commitment ranging from 6 to 12 hours, extending from August through the end of the school year. As an SLPA, you'll be integral in fostering an inclusive environment that empowers students to thrive socially and academically.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid SLPA license or certification required Prior work experience in educational or pediatric settings highly preferred Strong communication and organizational abilities Collaborative mindset and adaptability to dynamic school environments Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and state regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by supervising speech-language pathologists Assist in documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records Support students' communication development in individual and group sessions Collect and prepare instructional materials Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
