Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract This position offers an opportunity to provide essential speech-language support within a school setting in Aurora, IL. The role is ideal for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA), practitioners completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY), or certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) looking to make a meaningful impact on students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Responsibilities include delivering speech and language services tailored to the needs of students across five classrooms, with a current total enrollment of 22 students and potential for two additional students before the school year ends. Candidates will work directly with children to support their communication development and participate actively in individualized education plans and team collaborations. Scheduled hours for onsite candidates are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Extended School Year (ESY) hours from June 1 through June 29, running 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The current school year concludes on May 29, with the 2026-2027 school year staff start date set for Thursday, August 13.
Qualifications:
Experience or certification as SLPA, SLP-CFY, or SLP-CCC Ability to manage caseloads in an educational setting Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to supporting students' speech and language development This is a contract position with an immediate start date, offering a chance to contribute to a supportive learning environment and help students achieve their communication goals.
