Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract This contract opportunity is available in Bolingbrook, IL, within a school setting, offering a rewarding role providing speech and language support to K-6 students. Ideal candidates include Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) holding CCC certification, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLPs, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA), and school-based SLPAs seeking a dynamic educational environment. Scheduled hours for onsite candidates are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM during the school year, which concludes on May 29th. The Extended School Year (ESY) program runs from June 1 through June 29, with hours from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, providing continued support during the summer months. The next school year begins for staff on Thursday, August 13th. The caseload consists of students ranging from kindergarten through sixth grade. Currently, there are 22 students enrolled across five classrooms, with a maximum of six students per classroom. There is a possibility of two additional students joining before the end of the school year, offering a manageable and focused caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to students from K through 6th grade. Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student progress. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.Qualifications:
Certification as an SLP (CCC), SLP-CFY, or current credentials as an SLPA in a school setting. Experience working with school-aged children. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within an educational team. Flexibility to meet both school year and ESY scheduling needs.
