Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students as an SLPA for the upcoming school year. This full-time role runs from August through late November, with the potential for extension. Situated near Harvard, IL, you'll work Monday through Friday within regular school hours, making a lasting impact alongside a collaborative educational team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Active and valid SLPA certification/license in Illinois Previous SLPA experience in educational settings is preferred Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required Excellent communication and organizational abilities Compassionate, adaptable, and enthusiastic about helping students succeedResponsibilities:
Assist licensed speech-language pathologists with direct and indirect therapy services Support students with speech and language goals as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Prepare therapy materials and document progress accurately Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student development Uphold ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality at all times This opportunity allows you to hone your skills in a dynamic school environment, interact closely with a diverse student body, and contribute positively to bilingual communities.
