Full Job Description Job Description:
A member of the speech and language department; is responsible for providing support to students in areas of speech and language activities under the direction and supervision of a certified speech and language pathologist.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct Speech and Language screenings (without interpretation) following specified screening protocol. Maintain the short-term objectives on the IEPs which may cover the areas of speech, language, voice and fluency Document and report the status of student progress and performance on a regular basis. Assist with informal documentation and preparing materials (i.e. communication boards, overlays). Check to see that the student devices are in working order. Collaborate with speech-language pathologist and other team members including teachers and parents, to ensure positive student outcomes Collect meaningful and accurate data to be shared with team members (parents, teachers, SLP, OT, PT) Attend meetings and provide feedback for student progress reports Provide additional supports and services as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech and Language Pathology Overview of Benefits
