Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Travel An opportunity is available for an experienced Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support within a school environment located in Lake Charles, LA. This role caters to both full-time and part-time professionals who hold an active Louisiana state SLPA licensure and are eager to contribute to children's speech and language development through on-site work.
Key Qualifications:
Active Louisiana state SLPA licensure required by the start date Experience within a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not mandatory Ability to manage caseloads effectively with attention to individual student needs Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with the special education team Commitment to adhering to school policies and maintaining a supportive environment for students
Location:
Lake Charles, Louisiana On-site work in a school setting, with a travel component as needed
Responsibilities:
Assist in the evaluation and treatment of students with speech and language disabilities Support speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions Collaborate with educators and special education staff to integrate therapy goals within the classroom Participate in team meetings to discuss student outcomes and strategies
