Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives as a Paraprofessional Facilitator supporting virtual special education programs in the vibrant New Orleans area! This full-time contract opportunity (35 hours per week) runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and will have you working closely with school psychologists or speech-language pathologists in a virtual setting. Assignments will be confirmed and may include various age groups, allowing you to expand your skill set while providing essential support to both students and professional staff.
What You'll Bring:
Associate's degree, at least 48 completed semester credit hours, or a ParaPro assessment score of 450 or higher Prior experience in SPED (special education) classroom settings Willingness to complete district-required drug screening and fingerprinting Flexibility to work across multiple assigned school campuses (assignments will be communicated prior to placement) Exceptional communication and organizational abilities Responsible, proactive approach to supporting virtual facilitation
