Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This role offers an opportunity to support students' educational and communication development within a dynamic school environment. The position involves working closely with young learners across multiple elementary grade levels, providing specialized assistance to enhance their academic and speech-language progress.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language services tailored to individual student needs. Supporting 1st through 5th-grade classrooms through direct student engagement and classroom collaboration. Implementing educational activities that promote effective communication and learning. Monitoring and documenting student progress to inform ongoing interventions. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and experience desired:
Certification or experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Familiarity with working in elementary school settings, specifically grades 1 through 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to adapt to varying student needs and educational goals. Commitment to supporting student growth and development.
