Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) to a specialized high school program designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other learning differences. This contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year offers you the chance to make a real impact at a unique Compass High Program, focused on developing life and independence skills in a supportive, non-traditional setting.
What sets you apart:
Hold a current SLPA license or are eligible for SLP-CF, meeting all state requirements Demonstrated proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices Prior experience in school-based speech therapy, preferably supporting students with ASD or similar needs Skilled in collaborative, interdisciplinary teaming with educators and therapists Ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to individual learner strengths and goals What you'll be accomplishing: Provide direct speech and language services to high school students in a highly personalized academic environment Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement student-centered IEP goals, both one-on-one and in small-group settings Integrate AAC devices into daily communication and learning routines for students Contribute to supportive planning, progress monitoring, and documentation Help empower students to strengthen expressive, receptive, and social language skills essential for greater independence Highlights of this role: Located primarily at Ludlow High School in the Lower Pioneer Valley area Contract runs from late August 2026 through late June 2027 (school calendar pending) Regular schedule: 32.5 hours per week within the school day Serve an inspiring group of high school students and be part of a multi-disciplinary support team If you thrive in innovative educational environments and are eager to help students reach their fullest potential, this is your chance.
