Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students in a specialized educational environment tailored for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This contract SLPA or SLP-CF opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, in a unique high school setting focused on helping students build vital skills for independence through compassionate, personalized instruction. You'll be an essential part of a highly supportive program, delivering services within a setting designed to foster growth outside of traditional classrooms.
What We're Looking For:
Current SLPA licensure or eligibility for SLP-CF in Massachusetts, meeting all state credentialing requirements Demonstrated success with AAC device implementation and support Experience working with adolescents, particularly those with ASD or significant learning differences, strongly preferred Commitment to fostering communication, practical life skills, and independence in a high school-aged population Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, working as part of a dedicated interdisciplinary team Strong adaptability for providing person-centered, individualized interventions
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver therapy—both individual and group—aligned with student IEPs, emphasizing communication and daily living skills Assess and document student progress accurately and consistently Integrate and support the use of AAC technology for students with complex communication needs Collaborate with families, educators, and specialists to ensure a wraparound approach to student success Maintain compliance with documentation, reporting, and state requirements Enjoy a fulfilling school-based position with steady weekday hours (32.5 hours per week) during the academic year, in a program making a difference for youth who benefit most from individualized support.
