In this contract-to-hire opportunity, you'll work onsite with high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other learning differences in a specialized, supportive setting designed to foster independence and growth beyond traditional academic environments. This position offers 32.5 hours per week, providing ample time to deliver personalized care while maintaining work-life balance. You'll join a collaborative educational team focused on helping students achieve their communication and life skills goals.
Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license issued by the state of Massachusetts Experience or interest in high school settings, particularly with students who have ASD or learning differences Strong commitment to personalized, student-centered learning Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities Positive, solution-oriented approach to supporting students' success
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), teachers, and support staff to create and implement meaningful interventions Support social communication, language development, and functional communication skills for students with a wide range of abilities Document student progress and participate in team meetings Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where each student feels valued and empowered
