Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other unique learning needs in a dedicated educational program. This school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) opportunity offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of students, focusing on communication, independence, and skill development in a nurturing environment. The assignment is based primarily in Ludlow, MA, within a specialized Compass High Program located at Ludlow High School.
Key Candidate Qualifications:
Valid state licensure or certification for SLPA or eligibility as an SLP-CF, in accordance with all state requirements Demonstrated experience working in school settings, particularly with high school-aged students Strong proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices Passion for supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other diverse learning profiles Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills to promote student success
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to high school students within a specialized program setting Support and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and collaborate closely with a dynamic interdisciplinary team Utilize and implement AAC devices and strategies to enhance student communication Participate actively in program planning, student progress monitoring, and team meetings Document progress and maintain detailed records in accordance with school and state guidelines
Assignment Features:
