Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. This contract-to-hire opportunity focuses on providing critical services as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant school-based setting near Hagerstown, MD. Work closely with a dedicated team of educational professionals, making a difference in the lives of students from day one. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Hold an active SLPA license valid in Maryland. Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred. Solid communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong teamwork capabilities with teachers, staff, and lead SLPs. Proficiency in following education plans and instructions from a supervising SLP. Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic school environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in achieving communication goals under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Assist in the development and execution of therapy activities tailored to individual and group needs. Contribute to documentation, progress notes, and ongoing data collection. Collaborate with classroom teachers and other education professionals to integrate speech support strategies throughout the school day. Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate, providing valuable input on student progress. Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
