Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support services within a school setting in Portland, ME. This role involves working directly with students under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists to enhance communication skills and support individualized education plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing speech-language therapy plans designed by licensed speech-language pathologists. Monitor student progress and document therapy outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators and therapists. Prepare materials and therapy equipment to facilitate effective sessions. Maintain compliance with school policies and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. Experience working with children in an educational environment preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
