Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity working as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school environment close to Granby, MO. Qualifications and Experience:
Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or Communications Disorders Current SLPA state license or eligibility to obtain one Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Knowledge of various communication disorders and intervention techniques Ability to implement treatment plans designed by supervising SLPs Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families Organizational skills for maintaining accurate documentation Adaptability and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services as guided by supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Assist with screening, assessment, and data collection under SLP supervision Support students' participation in classroom activities by reinforcing targeted skills Prepare therapy materials and support classroom staff with communication strategies Document session activities, progress notes, and maintain confidentiality Participate in staff meetings, training, and collaborative planning sessions Communicate effectively with educators and families to support student progress This contract opportunity allows you to develop professionally while positively impacting students' lives.
