Qualifications & Experience:
Valid SLPA license or certification (required) Previous experience, practicum, or strong interest in working with K-12 students Knowledge of language, articulation, and communication disorders Ability to collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and school staff Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable adapting to the unique pace and needs of a school setting
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support students with speech and language needs under the supervision of an SLP Carry out treatment plans and activities designed by the supervising SLP Assist in screening and assessment procedures as directed Provide progress updates and maintain documentation on student performance Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for students Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to promote student goals Working as a contract SLPA in a school setting offers valuable experience and the satisfaction of supporting young learners on their educational journey.
