Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, supporting students in a vibrant school environment near Apex, NC. This full-time, on-site contract position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, from late August through early June. As part of a collaborative educational team, you'll work with diverse student populations, providing essential therapy services and making a meaningful impact on their communication skills. Interviews are scheduled for mid-May, so now is the perfect time to share your expertise.
Desired Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program Current registration with the NC speech board, eligibility for full or previous temporary SLPA registration Previous experience working in a school setting, delivering therapy services to children or adolescents Skilled in documenting therapy sessions and communicating progress Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office for streamlined documentation and communication Strong interpersonal skills and genuine commitment to supporting students' development
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy under the guidance of a certified supervisor, adapting strategies to meet individual student needs Accurately document session notes, progress reports, and maintain compliance with school and state requirements Communicate and collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and parents to support student outcomes Utilize digital tools for recordkeeping and reporting Participate in professional development and ongoing supervision as required by NC regulations This role provides an excellent chance to deepen your experience in a supportive school setting while further developing your skills under expert supervision.
