Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant working with students for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract position (37.5 hours per week) allows you to contribute directly to students' communication growth, while focusing solely on your therapy expertise—without additional non-therapy duties. Starting August 12, 2026, and running through June 7, 2027, you'll provide both direct and indirect speech-language services in a supportive educational setting. With guaranteed hours, you can count on stability throughout the assignment. Travel therapists may take advantage of stipends to support their assignments away from home.
Key Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited SLPA program, or equivalent Valid state licensure/registration as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Previous experience in school settings preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to supporting student achievement and growth
Primary Responsibilities:
Implement speech-language therapy plans developed by a supervising SLP Work individually or in small groups to address students' communication goals Track and document progress in accordance with student IEPs Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents as needed Focus exclusively on therapy-related tasks—no recess duty, bus supervision, or other extra duties outside of contracted hours Full-time employees are eligible to enroll in a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401k plan for your future security.
