Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year in the Cary, NC area. This is a full-time, onsite position, running from August 24, 2026, through June 9, 2027. You'll play an important role in delivering impactful therapy and communication support to school-aged children and collaborating with educational teams. The specific age group, caseload, and the number of schools assigned will be determined closer to the start date. Interviews are being scheduled for mid-May, so now is the perfect time to express your interest.
Your background includes:
Current (or eligible for) SLPA registration with the NC Speech Board (full or temporary) Experience providing therapy and meticulously documenting services in a school environment Comfortable leveraging Google Drive and Microsoft Office for efficient documentation and clear communication Commitment to onsite service—teletherapy/remote is not available for this role Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication skills Key responsibilities: Deliver speech-language interventions under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist Support students' communication and academic goals during the school day Maintain accurate, comprehensive service records and progress notes Collaborate with school staff, families, and supervisors to ensure effective therapy delivery Participate in training and ongoing professional development Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all facets of your work Enjoy the satisfaction of making a direct impact in education while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
