Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for Speech Language Pathology Assistants seeking a rewarding, contract-based position in a dynamic school environment. This full-time, on-site role begins August 24, 2026 and continues through June 9, 2027, with interviews scheduled for mid-May. You'll have the chance to work alongside a dedicated team, helping students thrive and make meaningful progress. Ideal candidates are passionate about supporting student communication needs in a school setting, demonstrate professionalism, and have a strong foundation in providing therapy and accurate documentation. Assignments will be determined following the hiring process and may involve serving various age groups as caseloads and school assignments are finalized.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Active registration with the North Carolina Speech Language Pathology Board, or eligibility for full or temporary SLPA registration Prior experience working in school settings with therapy delivery and service documentation Proficiency with Google Drive and MS Office for documentation and communication Commitment to practicing on-site and collaborating with a supervising SLP Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with students, staff, and families
Core Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy as directed by the supervising SLP Document student progress and maintain organized records of therapy sessions Participate in meetings and professional development within the educational team Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' communication goals Adhere to district policies and best practices for speech therapy delivery Following hire, you'll be paired with a supervisor and guided through full NCBOE registration if not already completed.
