Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a real difference in the lives of students by supporting communication development in a school-based setting! We are seeking Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) for contract assignments with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, onsite at school facilities for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively alongside dedicated education professionals in a supportive environment. Essential Skills and Experience Current, active North Carolina SLPA license required Experience working with school-age children preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to follow treatment plans designed by supervising SLPs Adaptable and organized in dynamic school settings Motivated to encourage student achievement and progress Key Responsibilities Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Support assessments and contribute to IEP implementation for students with speech and language needs Track student progress and maintain detailed records Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families as needed Adapt therapy techniques for individual and small group sessions Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions Assignment Highlights Onsite, school-based setting—no remote or virtual work Full school year duration: August 10, 2026 - May 21, 2027 Multiple district support/backfill roles available Enhance your career by gaining valuable experience in a school setting and empower students to reach their communication goals.
