Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supporting student success in a dynamic educational setting. Help advance communication skills and academic achievement for learners as part of a highly collaborative onsite team. This full-time position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, offering the chance to make a lasting difference throughout the school year. Your expertise will contribute directly to continuity of care as you provide essential district backfill support. The role is entirely onsite, fostering meaningful daily connections with students and staff.
What You'll Bring:
Current and active North Carolina SLPA license (required) Experience working within school-based settings as an SLPA Strong collaboration and communication skills Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment Ability to follow treatment plans designed by supervising SLPs Adaptability and organizational skills within a fast-paced educational team
Your Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy services alongside supervising SLPs Carry out prescribed interventions and activities Support data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation Communicate student needs and progress to colleagues and supervisors Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary staff to promote an optimal learning atmosphere Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education planning as directed
