Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school-based environment. This contracted position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year, collaborating closely with educators and Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver vital services. With a manageable schedule—working 5 hours per day, 5 days each week (excluding a 30-minute unpaid lunch)—you'll foster communication development and support IEP goals across a diverse student population.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid SLPA licensure or eligibility in the state Experience in school settings preferred, with knowledge of the unique needs of school-aged children Proficiency in supporting speech-language therapy under SLP supervision Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families Reliable organizational abilities and adaptability in dynamic classroom settingsKey Responsibilities:
Implement therapy plans and interventions as directed by supervising SLP Support individual and group therapy sessions focused on communication, articulation, and language Collect and document student data to track progress and inform planning Participate in IEP meetings if requested and contribute to goal setting Communicate progress and needs with supervising professionals and educational staff Assist with creating and preparing therapy materials and activities This long-term contract position runs from September 2, 2026, through June 17, 2027, making it ideal for professionals seeking consistency and the chance to build meaningful relationships in a school environment.
