In this position, you will work closely with licensed speech-language pathologists to help children and adults improve their communication skills through engaging, evidence-based therapy. You will assist with implementing individualized treatment plans, preparing therapy materials, collecting data, and supporting meaningful progress for each client. Duties Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized, evidence-based therapy plans for pediatric and adult clients across a variety of communication disorders Support therapy sessions by preparing materials, setting up activities, and creating an engaging and structured environment for clients Provide direct therapy services under supervision, focusing on articulation, language development, fluency, voice, and social communication skills Collect and record accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress and support treatment decisions Maintain timely and thorough documentation in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements Collaborate with supervising SLPs to adjust therapy activities based on client performance and progress Work closely with parents, caregivers, and team members to support carryover of therapy strategies outside of sessions Participate in early intervention services, particularly with children, to support developmental and communication growth Assist with informal screenings and data collection as directed by the supervising SLP Organize and maintain therapy materials, equipment, and treatment spaces Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support the overall goals of the clinic and the families served Experience Prior experience working with children or students in educational or clinical environments is highly desirable Knowledge of pediatrics and familiarity with early intervention practices enhances effectiveness in this role Experience in acute care or school settings provides valuable insight into diverse client needs Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy related to speech production, and medical terminology is preferred Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students facing speech or language difficulties Previous exposure to IEP development and implementation supports seamless integration into therapy planning Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach are essential for building trust with young clients Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication can transform lives through improved communication!
